Raw material: straw

Nowadays, we see a lot of people turning towards solar power, wind fuel and other alternative fuels, being less expensive, efficient and harmful for the planet. In the past, the wood and coal were the cheapest and convenient raw material for acquiring energy and heating, which currently were replaced by oil and gas. In contrast to the organic fuel, oil and natural gas are limited resources, more costly and harmful to the environment. Straw has long been differently applied in housekeeping: as insulation, bedding for cattle, sometimes as feed for cows, cover for houses and in brick manufacture… Currently all these methods of using straw are already outdated and no longer applied. With increasing of grain production, the waste management becomes a problem. Thereby, straw is an obstacle for soil cultivation after harvest. According to statistics, after the harvest and processing of rice, 1 tone of finished product has more than 1.5 tons of waste, for wheat approx. 2 tons of waste and maize - more than 6 tones. The problem has not been solved thus far. As a result, the straw was rotting in fields and thousands of hectares of farmland that remained after harvest straw were burned. On average, a kilogram of straw yields about 3 kW/h of energy. This means that from 3 kg of straw we get the same amount of energy as from a liter of diesel oil or a cubic meter of natural gas. Natural resources such as cereal straw, which are easily acquired after harvest or even purchased, will however be 5 times cheaper in terms of cost for energy consumption than traditional fuel. However, burning straw bales is not desirable or practice because of low efficiency of plants (straw is of low density and relatively high humidity) and inconvenience due to their large sizes. Therefore, briquetting straw is one of the most rational methods of using the Bio-Resources. Straw briquettes are more efficient at producing energy than wooden ones. From the scientific point of view, not only to dry cereal stalks can be attributed to straw, but also stalks of beans, flax, hemp and other plants free from leaves, inflorescence and seeds. Briquetting straw can serve as a universal fuel for heating homes, farms, and industrial objects. Briquetting straw allows us to solve the following problems: 1. preservation and storage of raw materials (under certain conditions briquettes can be stored almost during unlimited amount of time); 2. transportation; 3. automated load. Processing and recycling of waste for straw briquetting have not only broad prospects on local market, but also export potential. Supply of finished products (pellets) is much more profitable than sale of raw materials. Our company has created briquetting solutions and technologies, namely: mechanical briquetting press, dryer, shredder. At the same time, the company "Briquetting Technology" providing for: consultation, delivery, installation and servicing of briquetting machine.
